If you are feeling patriotic on the 4th of July and want to enjoy the festivities in Broward County, but don’t know the hot spots, we’ve got you covered. There’s no need to sit in front of the TV this year with so much fun to be had. Here are the key locations to consider:
- Deerfield Beach: most of the activities will be by the main parking lot by the beach. Expect great food, arts/crafts, music, games and entertainment. Performances will be by the BlueFire Band and Grayson Rodgers Band. Festivities begin at 1pm and conclude at 9pm with the fireworks display.
- Fort Lauderdale: off AIA and Las Olas Boulevard, at noon expect contents, music, games and a firework show to round things up. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the 4th of July festivities with the entire family. For more fun, rent jet skis with the family!
- Davie: at the Flamingo Gardens you can enjoy an antique show from the hours of 9am to 4:30pm. A watermelon and pie eating contest will take place, 50’s music, and a competition for those willing to dust off their 50’s outfits. Anyone who gets hungry can enjoy a barbecue.
